Music Therapy
Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence- based use of music interventions to accomplish individualised goals within a therapeutic partnership, by a credentialed professional.
Music Therapy has been shown to improve and maintain the physical, psychological and social wellbeing of individuals. Research has shown it to enhance cognitive, social, emotional and motor functioning in people.

Equine Assisted Therapy
Equine Assisted Therapy is a growing field and is showing promising results to treat a wide range of mental health and physical ailments. Horses are incorporated into the therapeutic session and clients engage in activities such as meeting the horses at liberty, lead0 line experiences, grooming the horses, feeding, and leading a horse around the paddock (sometimes using an obstacle courses), while being supervised by a qualified Allied Health professional.
Goals may include developing skills such as emotional regulation, self- confidence and responsibility.

This program was created by Sound Health Music to offer clients the best of both world's; music activities and horses! This offers a highly motivating, sensory environment for clients.

Investment
All therapy modalities at Sound Health Music and Equine Assisted Therapy attract the same hourly rate for all individual sessions. The price per hour is indicated by the current NDIS Price Guide which applies to all clients (both funded and private clients). This is to ensure fairness to all clients (whether they have a disability or not).
Currently the rate is $193.99 (inclusive of GST)
Are there any rebates available?
Unfortunately, at this time, no Medicare or private health fund rebates are available for Music Therapy or Equine Assisted Therapy. For those living with a disability or who are neurodiverse, music therapy is an approved therapy for which NDIS funding can be accessed by self- managed and plan- managed clients.
